SKIP - NATIONAL CHAMPION
SLH has its first national champion of 2019. In January!
Congratulations to Andy "Skip" Collins who has won the English National Duathlon Championship in the M55-59 age group. He travelled to the Ashridge Duathlon in Hertfordshire on 26 January to win the event. It's his second national championship, the first being at middle distance tri in 2009. And all whilst serving as SLH triathlon chairman (well, for another six days at least). It's the 12th time an SLH athlete has won a national age-group championship.

Well done Skip, delighted for you. What a flying start to the season!

SWASHBUCKLER 2019
Our club middle distance championships for 2019 will be the Swashbuckler Triathlon in beautiful Buckler's Hard, Hampshire. SLH has been given a discount on entries - code is on Tri Irrepressibility and there's a further discount to everyone who books before the end of November. It's a great event and we've already got a good crowd going.
2018 SEASON REVIEW

The overall highlight within the club might be that we have three athletes going to the world Ironman championships in Kona – that’s covered in a separate article above so this article covers the achievements of the other members of the club. Once again there has been a definite focus on long distance racing.
