We've got two club bike rides coming in the next week or so:
- This Sunday (19 May), 70 ish miles to Tunbridge Wells, full details here. Please let Caroline know if you are coming.
- Saturday 25 May, Leith Hill and the Vachery route, 40 ish miles. Full details here.
SOUTHWATER RELAY
Lesley is looking for people to enter the Southwater relay on 1 September - so far we have four teams of three but we'd love to have more! To express an interest and for more information please post on the forum thread.
JUNIOR SWIM SESSIONS
Please note that with effect from 15 May, the timing of the junior swim sessions with Carmen Poel is changing. In future the sessions will take place on Friday evenings from 7:45pm, not on Wednesdays as before.
CRYSTAL PALACE TRI
Another busy weekend coming up for the tri club. SLH is sending a strong team to the Crystal Palace triathlon this Sunday (19 May), the fifth round of the London League series.
We have 14 adults and four juniors entered into the sold out event. Have a great race everyone.
OPEN WATER SWIMMING
Open water swimming is back for the summer! We had a successful swim at Southwater last week (see Harvey's report), it was a bit chilly ("baltic" in Phil's words) but quite swimmable and no-one froze solid. We will be going back to Southwater Country Park most Wednesday evenings to swim in the lake. No swimming is allowed there unless there are a minimum of three club people present and there are other safety requirements. If you intend to go (any week, not just this one) please post on the forum so we can co-ordinate numbers, timings and lifts.
Please see Caroline's post on the forum for more details of next week's swim.
