2006 Race Information

Entry Costs:

Postal entries close Sat. 8th. July (postmark). Do not forget SAE and cheque payable to South London Harriers. Entries arriving with a later postmark will be treated as "on the day" and the relevant fee will be payable upon collection on Race Day before 1.30pm.

The Race:

The race starts and finishes in the grounds of "Elmore", High Road, Chipstead, Surrey, CR5 3SB (Map Ref:TQ277567) Follow the signs to the Flower Show. Parking will be free on the Meads playing fields and will be signposted.

The Flower Show. Your family and friends are all welcome to come along and support you (entrance fee for non runners). There will be plenty for them to se and do at the Village Flower Show and Fair including stalls, children's entertainment, raffles, beer tent, tea & cakes, brass band etc.

Public Transport:

The start is 1.1 miles from Chipstead station and 2.5 miles from Coulsdon South.. There is no bus service.

1st. Woman: Sarah Williams (Met. Police) 46:09
Last Runner: 1:42:54 (270 finishers)

We welcome all grades of runners.

The Course:

The course was re measured in 2005 and is an accurate 7 miles. There are mile markers on the course in accordance with the official measurement. There is a Drinks Station at 3.2 miles. SEAA Race permit No. 6300.

Medical Support:

First Aid is provided by St. John Ambulance at the Start/Finish area and on course.

Charity Support:

The Elmore 7 has supported local charities since the first race in 1989. Over £20,000 has been raised since then. This year we are supporting the Brain Injury Centre, Banstead . We are sponsored by Legal and General and helped by Sweatshop. Once expenses, prizes etc have been accounted for ALL monies go to the charity. If you would like to raise your own sponsorship money please feel free to do so.
