SPORTSHALL at Guildford

We had a great afternoon of Sportshall athletics at the Guildford Spectrum on Sunday the 25th November. Mason Owusu Dellimore was the top U15 boy in the individual points with a total of 72, and Alex Berard finished 2nd with a total of 67. It was great to have Samuel Owen on the team for the first time and he did very well. Leo Neiro did well in the 2 lap race and relay and the U15 boys finished 3rd team. Deji Bello continued with his winning ways in the U13 boys taking the 2 lap race and the shot to finish top points scorer. Deji had good support from Eralbi Hyselli, and James Roxburgh who won the paarlauf, Jeffrey Quaynor who did very well in the 4 lap race, Dylan Taylor, Noah Emery and Oliver Owen  who were all competing for the first time in sportshall, and Laurie James.

Our U15 girls team really looked the business against some very strong opposition finishing 5th. Katie Mooney and Maddie Vickers were our top points scorers but there some great performances from Alice Stanley, Tabby Welsh, Rebecca Collins, and Emma Ratti. It was great to have Bella Mancuso on the team for the first time. Our U13 girls really had a successful afternoon finishing 2nd overall. Gemma Rainsford showed she is back in form after an unfortunate foot injury and finished equal 3rd in the U13 girls individual points total. There were some very good performances from Evie Nimako,  Laila Morrell, Maryam Jarra, Phoebe Kemp, and Annice Kemp. Our B team also did well with Olivia Vickers finishing the top scorer for them. The last fixture for the season is on the 27th January 2019 and then the Surrey teams will be chosen for the Regional inter counties. It looks like a number of our athletes stand a very good chance of qualifying for this event. Well done to all who took part on Sunday you certainly provided some excellent entertainment
