WOMEN at ESHER
Results received from Jake who writes:
"We are very greatful for Beckie to run just before her party and hence
ensuring that we remained 2nd overall!! Our other very gallant runners
who had not overcome by cold[s] [-12C overnight] or injury were Natalie
Glover who despite some very good runners turning up finished 26th this
time - Ruth Hutton who did not have to come very far [but hopefully did
not worsen her injury] Pam [almost fully fit again after her cold] Viv &
Amy [who had a problem with her right shoe] and Trudy who did well.
Apart from the Nationals and two more mobmatches that is the conclusion
of the xc season where we have done very well this year.
RANELAGH MOB MATCH
Unfortunately we lost but at least we found the cup! The scores were Ranelagh 329, SLH 341.
Congratulations to Stuart for winning the race.
The weather highlighted how lucky we have been the rest of the season. The wind and rain made it uncomfortable for marshals, timekeepers and recorders and conditions underfoot were not conducive to fast running.
Trudy won the Vets Handicap, cheered on by Cassius.
Results of the match and the AMENDED Vets Handicap are under Cross Country.Photos in the Gallery.
