December 2nd, 2007: Young Athletes - Sportshall (2)
Posted by Ian Field at 10:15 pmA good turn out once again. SLH came armed with 36 keen and able Young Athletes to take on the best that the Surrey clubs could offer. We looked great, as the new shirts were all in, and the results were slightly better on the whole, than in the first round. All seemed to enjoy themselves, with some very good individual achievements amongst them.

Posted by Ian Field at 3:11 pmAn afternoon of indoor athletics was enjoyed by many of SLH’s U13 and U15 athletes. Results were good, although not quite up to our huge success of last season. This was probably due to a large number of absentees due to half-term activities. There were however a lot of debut performances which bode well for the other upcoming events. As usual the atmosphere was fantastic, and the athletes all seemed to really enjoy it. With 6 to a team, it means we had 36 athletes there !

September 23rd, 2007: Southern Women’s League - Final T and F match
Posted by Ian Field at 10:31 amWe have now achieved promotion to Div 1 !!
Our strongest team of the season comfortably won the final match of the season, which included the team who eventually finished 2nd in the League. An outstanding performance, especially in the Seniors, who completed a clean sweep of all the flat track events from 100m to 3000m, except for the 3000m B string where we had no runner.
