March 1st, 2008: SLH Schools Races
Posted by richardcarter at 2:03 pmThe annual Schools Races were held today on Farthing Downs. The 2 Primary Schools races in the morning had over 160 finishers and there were nearly 100 runners in the afternoon.
The Boys Primary race was won by Laurence Rook of Whyteleafe with the Billups’ sisters of Audley taking first and second in the Girls Race.
The winning teams were St. Aidan’s (Boys) and Parkhill (Girls).
In the afternoon races the team honours went to John Fisher (U/14), Oxted (U/16) and Judd (O/16). Individual winners were Connor Murphy of John Fisher, Sam Wade of Ardingly and Michael McManus of John Fisher.

February 5th, 2008: Major Indoor Championships success

January 19th, 2008: U11s Fun in Athletics Competition
Posted by Ian Field at 10:07 amOn Saturday 19th Jan, SLH sent 2 teams, 14 boys and 14 girls, to the Westcroft Leisure Centre, Carshalton to compete in the annual London Area “Fun in Athletics” team challenge. This is the first chance for many of our youngest athletes to compete. It was a nervous but exciting day for all. (more…)

January 13th, 2008: Sportshall (3)
Posted by Ian Field at 10:44 pmSLH Young Athletes were in Guildford for this the 3rd and final Sporthall round. The keen and able Young Athletes who came along produced some excellent performances, and once again showed their spirit, talent and expertise to the crowd. The boys did excellently to finish 3rd. Unfortunately a severely depleted girls team finished lower than before, but we were a very young team, and have much to look forward to next year.
