Running/Track and Field Related Training

SLH welcomes new and prospective members to join us on training sessions, offered year round.

Coulsdon Clubhouse

Tuesday 6.45 pm Structured Training: Intervals/Hills/Reps/Distance Runs.  Coached/supervised sessions. See Calendar for weekly details.
Tuesday 6.45 pm Medium pace training run 8-10 miles
Tuesday 6.45 pm Slower pace training run 6-8 miles
Thursday 6.30 pm Interval sessions for men and women - all standards
Sunday 9.00 am Long marathon training runs January to April and shorter runs throughout the year.

Crystal Palace

Tuesday 7.00 - 8.30 pm

Young Athletes 8+ welcome
Supervised Sprints, Hurdles and Middle Distance

Thursday 7.00 - 8.00 pm Supervised Sprints and Middle Distance
Athletes 12+ welcome
Supervised Sprints, Jumps (TJ & LJ) and Middle Distance
Sunday     10.30 - 12.00 noon Supervised Throws session by arrangement only.

Sutton Arena : Young Athlete Training session

Tuesday & Thursday evening training by Ray Thompson at 6.45pm.
Sessions would be suitable or modified for seniors.

Oasis (Coulsdon High School) - Young Athlete Training

Supervised and coached training is available at Coulsdon High School, Homefield Road, Old Coulsdon on Thursday evenings.

Training starts at 6pm and a range of drills, efforts and intervals are offered in groups of varying abilities and age.

Stuart Major has invested a huge amount of time to document the many sessions that are available to Members training in the Coulsdon area. 

The sessions provided are primarily designed for the winter season and are selectively offered on a Thursday evening. 

Please note that each week the Club’s lead coaches offer one of these session’s per week. The session is selected to co-incide with their overall training programme for the benefit of the club’s athletes.
