Pool swimming

Pool-based swim sessions are held at Caterham School Sports Centre, Harestone Valley Road, Caterham CR3 6YA each week through the winter (apart from bank holidays) on Monday and Wednesday evenings (20:15 to 21:15).  At present the Monday session is coached and the Wednesday session is uncoached.  The Wednesday session does not run during the summer months but we swim in open water on summer Wednesday evenings instead.

Sessions are payable in advance using the Makesweat system available to all club members - contact Ben Hieatt-Smith if you're a member and don't have access to the system.  The adult prices are £6 if you just want to buy one session, but you can get them more cheaply buying in bulk (£45 for ten sessions, £80 for twenty).  For under 18s the costs (again via Makesweat) are £4 for one session, £30 for ten and £50 for twenty.

You can also try out the sessions before joining the club as we allow non-members to swim for £6 per session for up to three sessions whilst deciding whether to join.

South London Harriers Tri Club Swimming

Sessions are suitable for swimmers aged 14 years and above who can swim at least 200m without stopping.

On occasions, we may replace the regular sessions with specific technical sessions for a fixed period.  Numbers on these may be restricted and advance booking required.  If this happens, we'll let you know on the forum.

The coaches often post details of their sessions on the Facebook group and Tri Irrepressibility WhatsApp group shortly before they start, and it's worth checking there to see if there is any kit to bring.

Open water swimming

During the summer months, open water sessions are held at Diver's Cove Scuba Diving Centre, North Park Lane, Godstone, Surrey RH9 8ND on Wednesdays from 18:00 to 20:00 and Saturdays and Sundays from 09:00 to 11:00 (you can swim at any time during this two hour period on each day).

Directions to each lake are available via the links above.
