CRYSTAL PALACE TRI
Fantastic results for SLH at the Crystal Palace triathlon on 19 May. Gary Laybourne finished as first man and Rachel Coe-O'Brien first woman overall. Congratulations both and all the best for your upcoming GB age group qualifiers in June!
In Gary's case, he has picked himself up from aggravating his Achilles injury in Central Park, New York during the week and his bike issues discussed on the forum.
We had 14 adults and six juniors finish the race and all in great times. Results here and well done all.
SOUTHWATER RELAY
Lesley is looking for people to enter the Southwater relay on 1 September - so far we have four teams of three but we'd love to have more! To express an interest and for more information please post on the forum thread.
OPEN WATER SWIMMING
We will be swimming at Southwater again this Wednesday night (22 May). Please post on the forum thread if you would like to come and to arrange timings etc.
As always, we need to abide by the safety requirements at Southwater. See here for the details.
Have a look at Harvey's report on last week's swim if you're unsure of what it might involve.
JUNIOR SWIM SESSIONS
Please note that with effect from 15 May, the timing of the junior swim sessions with Carmen Poel is changing. In future the sessions will take place on Friday evenings from 7:45pm, not on Wednesdays as before.
BIKE RIDE
Phil Todd and others are going to be cycling on Leith Hill and the Vachery route (40 ish miles total) this Saturday, 25 May. Full details here if you'd like to join them.
KIT PROGRESS
An update from Caroline on where we are towards getting the long-awaited new kit. We will get there!
