SLH’s Alison Collins and Pam Ianella made the trip to the Alexander Stadium in Birmingham last weekend to compete in the British Masters Athletic Federation Track and Field Champs.
Alison came away with two medals for her trouble. Competing in the over 40’s category, she won silver in the 400m and  bronze in the 800m (66.28 and 2.41.59).

Pam, competing on the track for the first time, was fourth in the over 45’s 5,000m in 22.24.33 and sixth in the 1,500m in 6.06.06.

South London’s young athletes are looking forward to promotion next season, following a comfortable second place finish at their last track and field fixture at Kingston.

On Saturday, 19th July, South London Harriers will be staging the Elmore 7 road race held in conjunction with the Chipstead Flower Show. This charity race continues to increase in popularity and last year attracted over 250 finishers. This year’s nominated charity is the Walton based Dyscover charity which helps people with dysphasia. If you would like to take part, entries will be accepted on the day up to 1.30pm (race starts at 2.00pm). Full details from the club’s website at www.southlondonharriers.org
