Due to the late cancellation of the season-opening meeting at Crystal Palace after the snow storm, some Young Athletes and Senior Women decided on a late entry into this new event. There were some good performances.

Senior Ladies

Alison Collins and Stephanie Ware training partners at Crystal Palace, started the season both clocking 2.33 and finishing in joint 3rd place in the 800m.  Mandy Bowyer finished 5th in the 3000m.

U11 Girls

There was a spectacular clean sweep in the 100m, with Maya Bruney 1st in 14.78, Jazz Crawford 2nd in 14.92 and Kyra 3rd in 15.93. Kyra also went on the come 2nd in the 150m later in the day in 24.76.  This was followed 2 PBs in Long Jump. Maya with an excellent 4.04m and Kyra in her first competition with 2.78m

U11 Boys

Kaidi ran really well for 3rd in the 100m in 16.49, and came back after lunch to run with real determination to win the 150m in a very close finish, in 24.50. Both were PBs in his fist ever competition for SLH.

U13 Girls

Zoe Collins ran a ver go first lap but faded slightly in the 800m to finish in around 3mins. She the redeemed herself with a determined run in the 200m to record 32.09.

Saul Thompson won a close 100m to record 13.84, a new PB. He also jumped a fine 4.21m on the Long Jump.  Looking good for the first YA match !

U15 Boys

A smiling Tyrie Obuks ran well for 2 PBs to start the summer season off ! In the 100m he recorded 13.05, and the 200m, 26.90. Well done.

Good stuff guys.
