March 23rd, 2008: The Informal 10ks aka Near as Damn It 10ks.
Posted by richardcarter at 11:00 amSLH are hosting a 3 race series of Informal 10k’s on the last Thursday of May, June and July. For more information on the entries and course see below. First 10k is on 29 May.
The races start and finish at the north end of Farthing Downs just off Downs Road. Entries to be made at SLH HQ, 194a, Brighton Road, Coulsdon, CR5 2NF by 7.15pm. The HQ is near Coulsdon South and Smitham railway stations. Parking is available on street and in Lion Green car park behind the HQ.
The races are open to all abilities. Finishing times vary from 35 minutes to 67 minutes. The undulating course is over Farthing Downs and Happy Valley and uses grass tracks, woodland paths and a short stretch of road. We thank the Corporation of London for permission to use Farthing Downs.
Entries are £2.50 in advance and £3 on the day.
