Good set of results from the Surrey Indoor Champs from 1st and 2nd March 2008 at Sutton Arena

The SLH throwers were lead by Georgina West with a Silver medal and a new PB of 8.46m in the U17 girls competition. This was followed by Afam Obi-Adewole U17 winning a bronze with a new PB 10.16m. In the U15 girls, Chioma Obi-Adewole and Iyaniwura Obi-Adewole finished 4th and 6th with 7.56m and 6.66m. Last but not least, Adesini Obi-Adewole putt the 4kg shot (for the first time) and recorded 6m, gaining a silver medal. Well done to all the throwers!

In the sprints, all our athletes put in good performances, most reaching the semi-finals at least. 
U17 -  Afamefuna Obi-Adewole 7.64secs, Ben Wynter 7.57secs &  Jeremy Sharpe 7.41secs
U20 - Billy Porter 7.29secs new PB and Chris Hall sprinted well.
U15 - Tyrie Obuks 8.4secs.

Our jumpers  impressed their coaches!
U15 girls -  Jahisha Thomas had a great series of jumps, she gained a new PB 4.86m and a Gold medal!
U15 boys - Tyrie Obuks also gained a new PB in the long jump with 4.33m.
U20 men - Olivier Serviable jumped 5.41m, while Alexander Bonnick jumped 5.43m, well done to both!
U17 boys - Afam jumped 5.09m and Neil Fuhrmann 5.18m, alittle down on previous competitions but training is going well, so good luck for the outdoor season boys!
Triple jump U17 boys - Two great PBs in this competition, Neil Fuhrmann 10.08m and Stephen Babalola 12.92m.
