November 10th, 2007: Surrey League Cross Country Fixture 2 - Men’s Report

Read David Baker’s report on the Surrey League fixture 2 below:
At Wimbledon yesterday there were several stand out performances which are worthy of note.

Matt Chapman was first home for the club and ran strongly from the off.
Following close behind was Glenn Quarton who continued his fantastic form
of late.

Dan Gillett making his official Surrey League debut ran well to be our 4th
scorer despite suffering all week with a cold. Jim Burdett would have
finished higher up if it had not been for an unscheduled pit stop.

Mike Airey started the race but unfortunately had to pull out having made
a good start.

So despite a 7th place on the day there were positives to be had. Many of
our runners were missing and i hope that for the 3rd fixture at Reigate on
12th January 2008 we will have a stronger team and do ourselves justice.

46th Matt Chapman 32.40
50th Glenn Quarton 32.50
57th David Baker 33.12
