Read the Captain’s report from the first cross country fixture at Wimbledon Common together with SLH results below: I’m not quite sure how to start this report other than by saying a huge
‘Thank You’ to the loyal 13 runners who made it to the start line at
Wimbledon today.

Namely:Andy Tindall, Pawel Bal, Mike Airey, David Ogden, Julian Gevers,
Glenn Quarton, David Baker, Al Morton, Paul Mitchell, Andy Davies, Antonio
Martins, Neil Bardsley and Mark Burtwell.

I know some others had valid reasons for not running but it was a pretty
poor show by a club who have aspirations of finishing 4th in this year’s
league.

Despite this we finished a commendable 6th of 9 with our ‘reserves’ - no
disrespect to those who ran. There were great performances from Andy
Tindall, Glenn Quarton and David Ogden.

The Juniors excelled with 4 in the top 6 and Daniel Sellman won the race.
