I can only repeat David’s words
What a brilliant start to the season!
SLH vests out in force and the results to match.
Pam and Jake’s thunder is merely to tell you that the ladies did go one
step further and had a clean sweep! and also two of the three “fastest
laps medals”!
Pam and I would like to thank all the ladies taking part to achieve such
a fantastic start to the season. But a special mention should be made of
Pippa and Viv who each did take part in two races and also of Georgie who
started behind Ranelagh in the last leg, but managed to finish well in
front for a very deserved first place for the Senior Ladies, whilst
producing the fastest senior ladies lap.
Leg 1 - Pippa Major 17.43
Leg 2 - Gemma Marrs 17.44
Leg 3 - Michelle Jenkins 18.17
Leg 4 - Georgie Bruinvels 16.58
The w35 team did not wish to be outdone where Ruth running a pb for the
course also got a fastest lap medal. She and her team also won gold, but
were also the third finishing ladies team!
Leg 1 - Ruth Hutton 17.43
Leg 2 - Viv Mitchell 19.05
Leg 3 - Lisa Thompson 19.29
Leg 4 - Pippa Major 18.52
Finally our new captain (Capitana?) and her team were also first where Jo
Quantrill, Pam, Trudy had built up a sufficient lead for Viv to see off
the Ranelagh challenge by the fastest lap winner.
Leg 1 - Jo Quantrill 20.40
Leg 2 - Pam Iannella 21.48
Leg 3 - Trudy Kuhn 21.19
Leg 4 - Viv Mitchell 20.01
The SL B team produced very good times.
Leg 1 - Clare Settle 19.21
Leg 2 - Sophie Cowper 18.57
Leg 3 - Alison Collins 21.02
Leg 4 - Beckie Woodland 19.26
In SL C team pb’s were broken.
Leg 1 - Lynda Gale 22.36
Leg 2 - Marketa Martins 21.35
Leg 3 - Lorraine Hewett 23.10
Leg 4 - Jo Farrar 30.00?
The w35 B team saw also excellent times.
Leg 1 - Su Taylor 21.47
Leg 2 - Jennie Burdett 23.02
Leg 3 - Jo Patterson 25.31
Leg 4 - Liz Davey 21.14
Very well done to all today.
This will give us excellent prospects in the Surrey League and for our
next race the Blackheath relays in a fortnight on the 22 september -
please tell Pam if you would like to be entered for that race.
