The rain did not stop the Young Athletes from enjoying themselves at the South London Harriers’ activity session this morning at Coulsdon High School.Anne Roden had assembled boys and girls from Coulsdon C of E, Keston, Ridgeway and Hayes schools to take part in the second Saturday morning training and activity session. Rain delayed the start but the four teams were soon warming up before the serious relay races started. These were followed by an 80metre dash and sessions of javelin, long jump, speed bounces and hammer until the rain stopped proceedings for a while before the final relay.

SLH would like to thank Coulsdon High for the use of their facilities today and over the last five years. The Thursday evening sessions have been a great success and would not have been possible without the School’s help.

Anne would like to thank Richard Beveridge, Colin Young, Val McDaniel, Sally O’Regan, Bob Gevers, and Richard Carter for their help today.
