Well done to those athletes.
I know from the individual results that several other athletes were
again close to the top 10. Hopefully all will take pride in their performances.
Remember the athletes competing were from all the clubs in Surrey.
Summary

Overall the teams finished as follows:-
U15 boys  -4th
U15 girls   -1st
U13 boys  -4th   U13 B boys -9th
U13 girls   -5th   U13 B girls  -13th   U13 C girls-17th

Well done to all our athletes. In addition those mentioned above,
there were very good individual performances from the following :-
Jenny Hewett, Amy Mitchell, Thomas Marsh and Richard Humphries in the Under 15s.
Richard Morris, Jack Scutt, Liam Johnson, Brandon John, Ben Foreman, Creston Harrison in the under 13 boys.
Catherine Campbell, Ruth Myburgh, Maria Kavanagh, Maya Bruney, Shanice Harrison,
Janet Foskett, Chanonne Graham, Sophie Foreman, Ellie Marsh, Hayley Waterer and Tyanna Bibb in the under 13 girls.

I thought the team spirit was good, and it was nice to see athletes cheering
on their team-mates when they could. The behaviour and sportsmanship was excellent also, so well done for that. It’s always nice to see competitors shaking hands with
each other after a race. That’s something that we will be encouraging this summer.

As a result of all these performances, 6 SLH athletes have been chosen to
represent Surrey on 18th Feb. This is a match against the other SE counties,
Kent, Sussex, Middlesex and Essex.

The athletes selected were as follows :-
U15 girls  - Sophie Small, Hannah Field, Harriet Field
U13 boys  - Adam Atkins
U13 girls  - Jahisha Thomas, Naomi Poyser

There were several other athletes who were being considered by the selectors,
and who will definitely have an even better chance next year.
We had some young teams competing this year and I’m sure we can be even
more successful next winter.
18th February Regional Final results :-

with their Surrey teams into the UK Sportshall Finals.
